Own It!!!

Well, this morning, I went down to City Hall and rented Memorial Park for an hour this afternoon. So, besides a couple of trespassers, I had the entire park all to myself for 3 wonderful miles today and IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!

Venue: Memorial Park

Total distance - 3.0 miles

Time - 38:41

Avg pace - 12:54

Splits - 13:06 / 13:11 / 12:23

I don't know why but I love to run in this weather. The cold drizzle makes me feel frisky. Great comments on the Wallow post. Funny!!!

Hey Vic! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Sometimes the Internet reminds you just how small this world is!

I'm doing the half on 1/17
.
As for my training I run with Bay Area Fit. My running really, really, REALLY sucked. It was the worst of the 3 for me. I'm getting better now; joining the group forced me to put miles on my sneakers and get out and run. I still suck, but suck much less. :)

As for my tri training I have 2 resources. I am coached individiually by Chris Sustala/Matt Chauvin/Melanie Yarzy -- all friends of Tri On The Run. But I also train with Bay Area Multisport. (http://www.bayareamultisport.com)

BAM! is a group of triatheletes who do their training together. We have a beginner and intermediate groups that received guidance and training from more experienced triathletes. They'll do their long runs/rides and bricks together (or at least that is the goal). Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. It's a great, less expensive alternative to formal coaching if you're the kind who can be committed and are looking to comfortably finishing the event. A lot of members do both and just use BAM to have other like-minded athletes to train along side of. We have a discussion board which is our main communication venue and from where all things BAM! happen and questions are answered. It's a great time to join as the beginner and inermediate programs will be getting off the ground -- and really for $35 a year, it's a deal.

Jana and Kevin Landry are great people! I know several who have been through TOTR's program and done well -- I'm certain you won't be disappointed.

As with any traing, you get from it what you put into it.

BAM is non-profit. I should also tell you I serve on the Board as Secreatary and Membership Adviser. LOL (could you tell?)

Good luck to you and thanks for stopping by!
